John Friedeborn, the retired founder of Cascadilla Tree Care, spent more than 30 years in the field of arboriculture, first on Long Island and later here in Ithaca.
As a 1980 graduate of Cornell University with a B.S. in Horticulture, John fell in love with both the Finger Lakes Area and his future wife, Karen. He decided to settle here in Ithaca to raise his family and establish his own company, Cascadilla Tree Care, Inc., founded 1982.
